Ymuno festival

I received this email after bumping into a friend of mine who set up his own festival a few years ago. The festival is absolutely amazing, and he does such a great job with it. He asked if I wanted to work on some t-shirt designs for the festival this year, which would also be used for promotional posters and all kinds of advertisements. The opportunity was amazing, but it fell at a really busy for me and I didn't want it to get in the way of my studies. It was also very short notice, and they already had another company in the pipeline. I sent him some stuff anyway, just for him to keep me on record, and its a potential for next time. 

Knowing folk like this is really useful and could really help me go a long way in the future. Need to keep networking and meeting people like this that are happy to give you an opportunity.

Internships and contacting professionals

This morning I emailed Granby workshops with the hope of getting some experience working there this summer. Myself and a friend of mine on printed textiles found out about the place a few weeks ago and have been interested in applying ever since.
I kept the email short and to the point, giving them the option to ask for more information if necessary, so as not to bombard them with too much.

 The email I received back just this evening is very promising, so I will be emailing them again with my details so that they can file them and know who I am when they need volunteers. Im a little upset they don't have anything they can promise to me just yet, however its my first attempt at emailing a professional working environment and the response has left me with a shimmer of hope and the confidence to seek out other places I would like to work this summer. Exciting times.

Online presence

I decided to make a small website in order to show case some of my work. Im trying to push the traditional print side, and only put things on there that I actually enjoyed making.
I would like to do some more work on some boards this summer, as my style has changed quite a lot since I last did one, so I will look into that.

Ive got my contact details up there with clickable links that lead to my email and also to my instagram account, where its possible for people to see more of current work.
