Leeds zine fair

Ive managed to organise for a few of us to get a table at this years zine fair in Leeds which will take place on the 10th of september. I messaged inquiring about a table, and then asked some friends on the course if they would like to be a part of it with me. There's going to be 6 or 7 of us in total which will be great, a good variety of work to come and look at.

Here is our write up on the website. Its been a good incentive for me to get some work done, and will hopefully be a good experience for myself and my piers.

Selling Longboards

During my foundation course, I used to buy second hand battered longboards and skateboards, sand them, clean them, re grip them re design them and sell them. Absolutely loved doing it, but haven't found the time to do any since starting uni. 

I started one quite a while ago, but only finished it this summer and managed to sell it pretty quickly which I was really happy about. Facebook and Instagram seem to be really good social platforms to display and sell my work.

Thoughts about the future-

This is something I love to do. Its hands on and ties a few of my passions together. I really want to consider doing more of this in the future, and perhaps for a project in third year. 

Ive also started working at surf snowdonia this summer, so I've started surfing (badly) so maybe something to do with boards would be a good consideration for the future.
