Ive been thinking a lot about the future lately, and getting really excited about the endless possibilities. I know I don't want to be a freelance illustrator, and I really love the idea of eventually creating my own creative business, but doing what I just don't know yet. I want some more years experience behind me, and to travel and build connections before I settle and start something of my own.
I contacted Granby studios last year with the hope to volunteer, but unfortunately they didn't have any opportunities when I was last in touch. I think I'm going to try again though, because I really love the work they produce, and i would like to learn how the community aspect of the workshop works, and whats involved. I think it would be a really great way to build connections and network with likeminded folk.
Being slightly unsure of the business i would like to set up myself, I think its good to try out a bunch of things that interest me, and then bring the best of what I learn together to make something unique and amazing.
I will contact Granby soon to see if they have anything over easter, and if they don't, I shall search for similar enterprises and push this forward.
