Gallery visits

I was having a really shit week and i was finding it so incredibly hard to find any kind of motivation. Em thought it would be a good idea to go to some exhibitions to try and get the ball rolling.

We went to the one in college by Gary Barker, which I think is amazing! There are so many illustrative qualities within his work, and its so surreal.

I love these potato heads

We also went to the Henry Moore institute which was full of some pretty crazy 3d work. After visiting there we were going to go to the Leeds City art gallery but then realised its been closed for a while and won't open until January, which is a shame. Therefore we went into town looking for examples illustration, and looked through some lovely books in waterstones.
Getting out for the day and doing some practical research was exactly what i needed. I felt ready to get on with my work afterwards. Sometimes its good to take a step back in order to take a few steps forward.
