Manifesto and business concepts

Life’s a Pitch: Business Concept

Our business idea- A collectively run space that offers the opportunity to be creative to all. Studio spaces and a coffee shop and a van that travels to schools and youth clubs to educate the new generation of the importance of creativity. We make creativity accessible to all.

How we came up with it-  Combined our interests and put them together to form a business that we would all love and built om the ideas from there. Finding a good place to study outside of university that isn’t expensive is really difficult. We want to change that.

What excites me about it- Its different. Were all quite passionate about the idea. There are many different things things we could do with it, the space, the events the workshops etc. I think there’s enough going on to keep it fresh and exciting everyday.

What industry does it belong to?
The creative industry, Service industry, Tertiary sector.

Our improved features/services- We stay open late. Nowhere stays open late enough where you can study, unless it’s a bar and that’s no good. We aim to help the community, work as a unit in order to improve local areas.

Our market and potential customers-
Creatives, free lance artists, professionals, students, coffee lovers, graffiti artists, youth clubs. There is no limit to our customers, the more the merrier I say.

Competition-
Duke studios and sheaf street cafeteria
Colour may vary
Every coffee shop in Leeds
Precious Arts collective

Our manifesto-

Hello.
We are friendly, we are approachable and we are here to provide something new for the community.
We are a non-profit collective who provide a space for all to learn, work and be creative. We aim to promote and support the creative industry within local areas, with the potential to expand nationally.

Snask have a really great manifesto. They call it the 10 commandments, and I think its a lot more eye catching and interesting, and I personally would be more inclined to read this than a short paragraph. I may rethink ours and try come up with a creative way to get ours out there rather than a small paragraph.

Name issues.
Having some issues with the name. We agreed last week, but I think some of the group members had a good think about it and decided it wasn’t the best. Im not sure where were at with that now, I think we might be aiming for something very simple and catchy.
New ideas-

Lemon collective.
Lemon co-operative.
Mellow lemon.
Lemon.

I don’t know, it hard to get 5 people to agree on a name, the names a pretty big deal.
