Although this day made me reconsider starting my own business, I still learnt some really valuable things about presentation, and how to have determination for something.
We learnt about CO STAR which was really interesting, and really makes you consider what it is you have to offer, or what it is you are selling. Its important that your business or you, stand out.

What I really liked about this day was the elevator pitch, and the impact this can have when done properly.
The hook- Capture someones attention, something dramatic that relates to what you're about to pitch.
Headlines- Choose 3 key messages that are at the core of what you are pitching.
Ask- ask something. May I give you a call tomorrow to discuss in detail? May I have your business card, and I could drop by and show you my portfolio? etc
When you pitch, you are selling. People will invest in you, not your idea.
