The dots

Finally got myself up and running on The Dots. Quite pleased with how it looks, I mean for the first time in 3 years Im making work that I actually like. Which is a really nice feeling. I didn't realise that the dots has so many jobs to offer, but barely any for illustration which is a shame! And they're all based in London too, which isn't really a place I want to live and work after college. However, I would never say never, if something amazing came up then I would definitely go.

There are so many companies on the dots, and I would definitely like to email a few with the hope that they will look at my portfolio, even if just for a little feedback. I really like the idea of working for VICE. Its a long shot but I think its something I could work towards, especially if I get the creative residency in college. I may email a few people who have worked for them and see how they went about getting a job with them.

I hope they post more jobs in a variety of places soon, and a few more for illustrators. Will definitely keep this updated and check it regularly though. I now have a website, a Behance, a Linkedin, Instagram and this, so my online presence is everywhere!
The only thing I would really like to set up now is an online shop. However I don't really feel like I have the time to manage that with everything else at the moment, so that might be something I set up after the 15th of May, when I have the time to do everything properly. I really believe that wrapping prints and packaging and little homemade touches go a long way, and its something I would want to do well, not just throw a print in an envelope and ship it off.
